My friend, and frequent shooting-partner, Kris Farruggia and I were absolutely delighted to photograph this amazing wedding with Meghan, Gary, and all their friends and family.
Held at the gorgeous Willow Ridge Manor, in Morrison, Colorado, the wedding was charming, sincere, and completely unpretentious. The whole bridal party, as well as the guests were some of the coolest, most laid-back, and friendly people I’ve ever met. There wasn’t a cold fish in the bunch. Everyone was there to congratulate the happy couple and HAVE FUN, and that’s just what they did.
As Kris and I have done in the past, we split photography duties by focal length. I concentrated on capturing medium-to-wide shots, and Kris put his energies towards close-ups. It’s a division of labor that has worked out really well, allowing us to provide couples with a good mix of environmental shots, as well as engaging photos of faces and details. (The photographs you see here are the ones I took)
I’m thoroughly grateful to Kris for inviting me as a second shooter, and even more thankful to the couple and their family for being such gracious, generous hosts. They were an AWESOME group to spend the day with!
I would also be remiss if I didn’t thank Gregory, the proprietor of Willow Ridge Manor for his invaluable help, and off-the-charts enthusiasm. If you ever get an opportunity to stop by the Manor, and say hello to Gregory, DO IT. He is *hilarious*, and truly one-of-a-kind. He’s a complete character– in the best possible way. He made an already great day just that much more fun!
